Un año más vuelven los premios OSCAR. Como siempre, la
ceremonia tendrá lugar el próximo domingo 26 de febrero en el Teatro Kodak, en
Hollywood en Los Ángeles. Aunque este podría ser el último año para dicho
teatro, o al menos, para su nombre, porque Kodak anunció hace unos días
suspensión de pagos. Pero no contemos noticias negativas y vamos a centrarnos
en lo importante, lo que nos gusta, el cine.
Aunque "Hugo" de Martin Scorsese lidera las
nominaciones, con 11 para ser exactos. Le sigue muy de cerca The artist , y
promete ser un gran rival, ya que esta película, de baja relevancia para el público,
pero con una excelente acogida por la crítica está arrasando , posee nada más y
nada menos que 10 nominaciones. En tercera posición esta Moneyball con 6 y Los descendientes
con 5 nominaciones.
Lo que sí parece claro son los favoritos para la categoría
de mejor actor y mejor actriz, con George Clooney “The Descendants” y Meryl
Streep “The Iron Lady”. Pero como se dice, no hay nada escrito y las sorpresas
pueden venir de cualquier parte, por ejemplo de Millenium y la joven Rooney
Mara.
Más interrogantes surgen a la hora de elegir al mejor
director ¿Será esta la reconciliación de Hollywood con Woody Allen por
“Midnight in Paris”? ¿O quizás alabaran la arriesgada apuesta de Michel
Hazanavicius por “The Artist”? La única respuesta será estar el día 26 de
febrero delante de nuestra televisión/ordenador para resolver el misterio.
Como grandes olvidadas en los premios señalaría: Drive, J.Edgar, Las
aventuras de Tintín, Melancolía, quizás Súper 8 y sin duda El origen del planeta de los simios.
Pues nada más, el día 26 estaré atento para conocer los
resultados y os los iré contando y comentando en el Blog.
